Directions: : Basic Recipe: Each serving is about 1/2 cup. To Make: 2 Servings = 1/2 cup water,
1/3 cup milk, 1 tablespoon margarine or butter, 1/8 teaspoon salt (optional), 1/4
cup potato granules. 5 Servings=2 cups water, 3/4 cup milk, 3 tablespoons margarine
or butter, 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional), 1 pouch potato granules. 10 Servings = 3-1/2
cups water, 1-1/2 cups milk, 6 tablespoons margarine or butter, 1 teaspoon salt (optional),
2 pouches potato granules. 15 Servings = 6 cups water, 2 cups milk, 1/2 cup margarine
or butter, 1-1/2 teaspoons salt (optional), 3 pouches potato granules. Stovetop:
1. Heat water, milk, margarine and salt just to a boil in saucepan. (Bubbles are
beginning to break on surface.) 2. Remove from heat. Gradually add potato granules,
stirring with fork until moistened. 3. Stir with for about 30 seconds or until potatoes
are desired consistency. Refrigerate leftovers. Microwave: 1. Combine water, milk,
margarine and salt in microwave-safe bowl. 2. Stir in potato granules gradually until
moistened; cover. Microwave on High: 2 Servings=1-1/2 to 2 minutes. 5 Servings=5-1/2
to 6 minutes. 4. Stir with fork about 30 seconds or until potatoes are desired consistency.
Let stand 2 minutes before serving. Refrigerate leftovers. Microwaving is not recommended
for amounts over 5 servings. Because of differences in microwave ovens, cooking times
may vary. Preparation Hints: For stiffer potatoes, stir in a few more granules. For
creamier potatoes, stir in a little more milk. Five servings (2-1/2 cups), prepared
Idaho Mashed Potatoes are equivalent to 1-1/4 lb fresh potatoes.
Ingredients: Idaho Potato Granules (Color and Flavor Protected with Sodium Bisulfite, Citric
Acid and BHT), Monoglycerides, Calcium Phosphate.
