Simmer: For each 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of peas, bring 1/2 cup water to a boil. Add vegetable and bring to a second boil. Reduce heat and cover. Simmer 3 to 4 minutes, until just tender. Do not overcook. Drain. Season to taste.
Steam: Pour 8 ounces (approximately 1/2 bag) of peas in vegetable steamer and place over boiling water. Cover and steam 5 to 7 minutes, until just tender. Season to taste.
