Measurements: 2 Servings (Cups of cooked rice): 1/2 cup rice, 1 cup water, 1 tsp butter (optional); 4 Servings (Cups of cooked rice): 1 cup rice, 1 3/4 cups water, 2 tsp butter (optional); 6 Servings (Cups of cooked rice): 1 1/2 cups rice, 2 1/2 cups water, 1 tbsp butter (optional); 8 Servings (Cups of cooked rice): whole box of rice, 3 1/4 cups water, 1 tbsp butter (optional). Stove Top: 1. Cut open pouch. 2. Combine rice, water and butter (optional) in a saucepan. 3. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat (medium-low to medium) and cover. 4. Simmer 10-12 minutes or until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork and serve. For firmer rice use less water and reduce cooking time. For softer rice, use more water and increase cooking time. Cook Like Pasta: 1. Cut open pouch. 2. In a 2.5 qt saucepan boil 4 cups water with desired amount of rice (use 6 cups of water when cooking the whole box of rice). 3. Boil gently for 10-12 minutes or until rice is tender. 4. Drain into mesh strainer. Fluff with fork and serve. Microwave: 1. Cut open pouch. 2. Combine rice, water, butter (optional) in a microwave-safe glass dish. 3. Cover and cook on high. 2 Servings: 5 Minutes; 4 Servings: 8 Minutes; Servings 6: 10 Minutes; Servings 8: 12 Minutes. 4. Reduce to Medium (50%) for 5 minutes. Remove from microwave. Fluff with fork and serve. Microwave ovens vary; adjust cooking time as needed.
